Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students in both special education and general education settings. My journey began primarily with 1st and 2nd graders in special education, where I learned just how crucial it is to tailor instruction to meet each child’s unique needs Teachers Of Brainfood Academy.
These early years taught me patience, creativity, and the importance of celebrating every small victory. Later on, I transitioned to working with older students in 4th and 5th grade—experiences that challenged me to adapt my teaching style to foster independent thinking and encourage curiosity. I am a Graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Elementary Education and minor in science. The majority of my experience is as a specialized teacher in the areas of reading and math at the elementary level. I love to be able to help students develop a love of reading and math! In reading I will cover: Phonological Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Fluency, Handwriting, Grammar and Punctuation.
